Web Banner Layouts
I have three ways of designing website banners:
CSS (Cascading Stylesheets). Like the banner above. Since most graphics are defined in CSS and are liquid, browsers can be resized and it will not affect the banner when viewed in different sized monitors. Graphic locations will just adjust themselves in the space allotted by the web browser.
Table Layout. The table layout is more permanent, with a maximum width of 760 pixels and is centered in the web browser. It work well when web banner is full of pictures that cannot be liquid or rolled.
Flash Banners. I seldom recommend flash in a website because they are not search engine friendly and sometimes take time to load. But it can't hurt if you want a flashy website.
