Baven Demaisip

Baven is my god son. For his 1st birthday in 2006, his father requested me to make one for his birthday invite. It took me about half a day but I kept adjusting it and adding more so it keeps changing.

Self-Portrait

I always try to draw myself using different techniques. I figured that if I can't be happy with my own picture then I would need to learn and practice some more. I started this one in 2005 and been editing it on and off on my free time. I'm still not satisfied but I realized it's more difficult to please myself than others when it comes to art.

My Sister Weng

I like this one. Finished it in four hours but kept changing the background. My sister wants a new one. The one on top is the full version.

Kizia

Kizia is my niece. Took a picture of her and drew her using that pic. I also experimented with light and was very detailed with this one. I got the creases in her jeans as well as the stitches. I also remembered the small birthmark in her face. Took me about 5 hours but again kept editing it a little a day until printing. Resized it to poster size in 2 x 3 feet and printed in tarpaulin. It now hangs in her room.

Kela

Christmas 2006, I made a vector for each niece. This one is Mikaela. This Vector is a combination of two pictures. The headshot was from one picture and the neck down was from a different picture. She was holding scissors on the real picture. Took that out and replaced it with ribbons.

A year later, we took this same vector, resized and edited it, then printed it for a poster for Kela's Survivor debut. See poster on print page.

Kia

Kia is the eldest of my nieces. For some reason, a full face pic is much harder to do than an angled face. I drew this one last and was running out of time but finished it at about the same time as the vectors of my other nieces.

Liam Royce Peñaflorida Sarjeant

Liam is the impish Canadian seven-year old who visits my office and eats the apples in the refrigerator. He hugs everybody and speaks Ilonggo with an accent. He's cute, lovable and loves the color orange. Made this one for his 4th birthday.

All shapes were created in Vector and enhanced using Photoshop styles. The monitor and the keyboard were later transported to finish the above website banner.

Map of Iloilo

Created for a website and a flash interactive site. Wanted it to look like wood engraved with names.

Patricia

Her name IS Noodles.
