Frequently Asked Questions

On Graphics

  • What kind of graphic design services do you provide?

I can do logo design, brochures, graphics for web sites, vector art, posters, banners, stationery – including business cards, letterheads, envelopes, mailing labels, and powerpoint presentations, and any other printing your business may require.

  • What do you charge for your graphic design services?

I charge by the job. After consulting of what the client will require, I prepare a quote for them. There is no rate-sheet because each project varies. If the job is open-ended, it may be fairer to both me and my client to go to a hourly rate.

  • What types of payment do you accept?

    Cash or checks.

  • What is the client's involvement in the design process?

I discuss the project thoroughly with the client during the planning stage, usually with a short worksheet to help us. I encourage them to bring samples, color palettes they may want, and share ideas they may have. During the design process, the client is asked to approve certain milestones before work continues. At the conclusion of a project, the client may request the artwork in various formats.

  • How do I check on the progress of my job during the design process?

The client is kept abreast of the progress of the project at certain stages. Regular consultation and client approval is needed to continue the design work. This process keeps the client involved and prevents any breakdowns in communication. The client, however, is free to call in to get an update.

  • How will I receive my design project once it is finished?

Upon receipt of final payment, finished project will be supplied to the client on CD, floppy, or through e-mail.

  • Who owns the copyright for work Doodle Web and Graphics has done for me?

Copyright is yours upon receipt of final payment. I, however, reserve the right to use any work for promotional purposes.

  • Help! I have an emergency! Can you put a rush on my job?

Maybe. I preferably say no to rush jobs, mainly because it would affect quality. If I can take on your rush job, I'm going to add a 20 to 25% rush charge to my usual rates. This would discourage rush jobs since I do have a day job as well.

  • I don't know where to start. Can you help me?

I will help you with options if you tell what you need. A job may seem overwhelming but it gets easy if you put things in perspective.

  • What would you say your design philosophy is?

Hmmm. Good question. I don't think I have one.

  • Do you have examples that I can see?

You can see logos here, vector art here, website samples here, photos in here, print in here.
