Photography
Photography, like digital graphics, rely more on technology than any other major creative medium. Not only do you need a thorough knowledge of your equipment in order to make the most of it, but the process themselves can influence the work you do. The word "photography" comes from the French photographie which is based on the Greek words phos ("light"), and graphis ("stylus", "paintbrush"), together meaning "painting with light."
Photo Editing Services Here:
- Photo Restoration / Repair. Save damaged heirlooms and preserve important parts of your family history. Family photography has become so easy in the last 20 years and yet many of us still find it difficult to find a negative of a favorite photo to replace a damaged print or make a copy for another family member. Tears, creases, backgrounds can be restored to its original look. Color can be improved.
- Photo Manipulation. The most common requests among clients is embedding a picture of a movie star or a crush in one of their pictures to give as special gifts to family and friends. I can do this if the picture is intended for personal use. It is, however, illegal to use a manipulated photo in photo journalism.
- Photo Montage. Combine separate photographs to create a brand new picture.
- Artistic Treatment. Convert an old photograph into a painting or pop art and give as gifts to friends.
- Photo Editing / Retouching is the application of image editing techniques to modifying photographs by digital means. Uses, cultural impact and ethical concerns have made it a subject of interest beyond the technical process and skills involved. But when used properly, it can help any form of presentation.
My Love for Photography
Photography is an experimental art I've been testing for about 3 to 5 years. I bought my first camera back in 1990 ... a point and shoot Canon A800. I became a camera whore when a Muslim friend gave me my first SLR. It was an Olympus OM-10 with a manual adapter and 50mm lens. I've since bought a point and shoot digital camera ... a Canon Powershot A400. And my boss loaned me his Canon AE-1 Automatic with 24-104mm lens. I took formal photography classes at the West Visayas State University Extension School just to learn the basics. I find it relaxing to shoot just about anything but now, I mainly shoot for webpage design.
